Bookings & Quotes
Appointments are confirmed upon written acknowledgment. Quotes are in CAD and valid for 30 days.
- Scheduling windows are provided (e.g., 9–12 or 12–4). We will notify you if we are running early or late.
- All quotes assume standard access, clear work areas, and code-compliant conditions. Hidden conditions may require change orders.
- Photos or site assessments may be required before issuing a firm quote.
- Quotes exclude taxes unless stated. HST/GST/QST is applied based on the service location.
- If roof or interior access is required, the client must ensure safe access and clear pathways prior to arrival.
Cancellations
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a call-out fee.
- Less than 24 hours’ notice or missed access may incur a call-out fee of CAD 79 plus applicable taxes.
- Weather delays (ice, lightning, extreme winds) may require rescheduling for safety; no fee applies.
- We may cancel or pause work if unsafe conditions exist; fees may apply to cover time on site.
Warranties
Workmanship is warranted for 90 days unless otherwise stated. Materials carry manufacturer warranties.
- Workmanship warranty covers defects in the work performed, not normal wear, misuse, or environmental damage.
- Manufacturer warranties apply to parts, liners, caps, dampers, and other components per their specific terms.
- Warranty service requires proof of purchase and reasonable access for inspection and remedy.
- Any alterations by third parties void our workmanship warranty unless authorized in writing.
Limitations
We may decline service if unsafe conditions exist (e.g., roof access risk, structural instability).
- Services do not include engineering, structural remediation, or asbestos/lead abatement.
- We do not guarantee performance of pre-existing systems or code compliance of installations by others.
- Soot, creosote, and masonry dust can be messy; reasonable measures are taken to protect surfaces, but minor dust is expected.
- We do not work on wet, icy, or unstable roofs, nor in high winds or lightning conditions.
- Client is responsible for pets, valuables, and moving fragile items away from work areas.
Payments & Pricing
Payment is due upon completion; we accept major cards and e-transfer.
- Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Taxes are extra unless stated.
- Unforeseen conditions may result in revised pricing, subject to your written approval prior to proceeding.
- Deposits may be required for special-order parts or projects over CAD 1,000.
- Interest of 2% per month (24% per annum) may apply to overdue balances as permitted by law.
- E-transfer details are provided on your invoice. Card transactions may include a disclosed processing fee.
Liability & Indemnity
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages (including loss of use, loss of profit, or downtime).
- Client agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from unsafe site conditions, undisclosed hazards, or misuse after service.
- Insurance certificates are available upon request prior to the scheduled appointment.
Privacy & Data
- We collect only what is necessary to book and perform services (contact details, service address, notes, and photos where applicable).
- We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain preferences (e.g., theme, cookie choices). Non-essential analytics are optional with consent.
- We do not sell personal information. Data may be processed by trusted Canadian or international providers under appropriate safeguards.
- You may request access or correction of your information by contacting us.
Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province where the service is performed and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
- Any dispute shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, parties may pursue small claims or other competent courts in that Province.
- If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
